Up To Par—Educational Solutions, Inc. is a non-profit company that provides educational supplementation services in the form of tutoring and enrichment, educational consultation and mentoring, child care workshops for child care providers, parents, and other professionals, and summer camp as approved through the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.  In the future, Up To Par will also provide residential group home services in a facility as approved by the Governor’s Office for Children, Youth, and Families.  More specifically, Up to par provides for a small group before and/or after school enrichment program which seeks to assist today’s youth with homework help, test preparation, and the teaching of study skills and strategies.  Our tutoring program was designed to provide those in need with direct, one-on-one assistance in an academic area of need.  Within our direct tutoring program, we also provide college tutoring, Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), American College Testing (ACT), General Education Diploma (GED), and Civil Service test preparation.  Our consultation and mentoring program involves advocating for the behavioral, emotional, social, and academic prosperity of those students who need these types of services.  Up To Par’s child care workshops primarily provides licensed child care owners and their employees with the necessary clock hours required to maintain licensure, and our summer camps are bona fide summer day camps that focus on academics—its goal is to help k-12 students to maintain that which they learned the previous year as well as to prepare them, academically, for the upcoming year.  Lastly, Up To Par is currently fulfilling the requirements necessary to provide residential group home services to those in need.  This aspect of our company will provide housing, mentoring, counseling, tutoring as well as any other social and emotional services that would benefit disadvantaged youth.  All of the services we provide are in an attempt to help raise student performance and achievement both academically and socially.  Our programs are conducted at our facility in Clinton but also in the privacy of parents' homes or neutral locations..  By and large, our programs are offered to parents/guardians of K-12 students, but we also offer our programs to college students and adults seeking to enrich their lives.  Many of the students we serve are disadvantaged students.  They come from either or both economically or socially deprived backgrounds. Some of the students we serve have disabilities that include, but are not limited to, learning disabilities, emotional disabilities, or physical disabilities.  Up To Par has helped local schools in meeting Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) by raising student achievement.  As a result, these same schools find the educational supplementation we provide beneficial.

Two professionals with extensive educational backgrounds, successful experience working with students of all ages in K-12, significant involvement with private and public schools as well as Homeschoolers, work with individuals and organizations to reach students who are in need.  These professionals work to ensure that each child’s learning style is identified, area(s) of strengths and needs are closely nurtured, and that each child is brought “Up to Par.”  Additionally, a diverse group of other professionals work as employees, tutors, consultants, and/or volunteers to assist Up To Par in giving its clients what they need.
