Up To Par Academic Summer Camp

WELCOME !!!

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Thank you very much for choosing Up To Par’s Academic Summer Camp to meet your child’s fun-filled, summer academic, social, mental and intellectual needs.  We are excited about the many wonderful deeply enriched activities that we will be doing this summer.  They include, but are not limited to swimming, camping, observing special and fascinating artifacts at museums, bird watching, observing live plays in Washington D.C., canoeing, becoming enrolled in various activities at community centers, and entrenched in creative hands-on reading, writing, and arithmetic labs.  Most of all, it is a home away from home in which children love to come every day.

Contact us by phone [(301) 877-2040] or by email (ejak8n@att.net) for the forms you will need to complete in order to fully register and enroll your child(ren) into Up To Par Academic Summer Camp.  Enrolling your child will help ensure that we have as much information as necessary to provide quality experiences for your child(ren).

Again, thank you for your interest and choice.  We, the staff at Up To Par Academic Summer Camp, look forward to welcoming your child(ren) into our Wild World of Fun and Learning!!!

Sincerely,

Dr. M. Brown, Founder/CEO

FOCUS?         Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic—and, oh yeah…FUN!

WHERE?       9121 Piscataway Road, Suite 3B

As with most camps, your child will enjoy a summer full of arts and crafts, field trips, playground fun, swimming, cookouts, plus more!  However, in keeping with a regimen of academics and learning, we will keep your child up to par in what he or she has learned (academically) the previous school year as well as prepare them for the upcoming school year.

Our camp opens at 6:30 a.m. and close at 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for one (1) tuition payment of $140 weekly—i.e., no additional before and/or after care costs (ask about our sibling discount).  Additionally, parents are strongly encouraged to purchase their camper(s) a Six Flags season pass since we visit that park frequently.

Early registration will occur from April 8 through May 3, 2013.  Registration will continue between May 20, 2013 and June 7, 2013 for all others.  Please complete and return the attached intent form as well as the attached T-Shirt order form and *fees if you plan on your child attending this summer (parents may have to call for intent and T-Shirt forms if not attached).  Upon receipt of your intent form and fee(s), Up To Par will give you the application package necessary to fully register and enroll your child into the Up To Par Academic Summer Camp.

Sincerely,

All of these meetings will be held at our center in Clinton (9121 Piscataway Road--Suite 3B, Clinton, Maryland 20735). Please give a courtesy call to (301) 877-2040 to indicate the session you'll attend.  A reminder email will be sent out weekly indicating upcoming interest and registration meetings for this year's academic summer camp.

ADDITIONAL CAMP INFORMATION

Up To Par Academic Summer Camp is licensed by the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH).  To us, this means parents can rest assured that their campers are in an environment in which the personnel take pride in providing a safe, secure, supervised, and monitored camp experience.  Many parents ask about refrigeration of food, staff-to-camper ratios, whether or not our staff is fingerprinted, the qualification of our staff along with a bunch of other questions that seek to establish the integrity of our organization.  We're confident that our answers will please most inquiring parents; however, our practices simply mirror those established by COMAR 10.16.06 which describes the requirements for youth camp certification.
