Our Purpose
It is our sincere desire to provide excellent tutorial services to those in need. Not only is it our desire to provide tutorial services, but we wish to offer our services in a manner that’s, both, academically conducive to the learner as well as affordable.
Our Mission
Simply put, our mission is to provide learners in academic arenas with tutorial services that bridge the gap between educational mediocrity and educational prosperity. We realize the importance of achieving academic excellence in an increasingly challenging world, and we are also aware of the impediment placed on many of today’s youth by high-stakes testing and the current standards-based reform. Many states, nowadays, require students to pass a state “standards of learning” test for each core academic area (English, Math, Science, and Social Studies) in order to graduate. For many, this precludes not only opportunities to leave high school with a standard diploma, but it also places a real impediment on that individual’s future desires and opportunities. On the home-front, it is the hopes of many parents to witness the school-aged academic success of their child or children. For parents, their child’s graduation from high school is the fulfillment of that parent’s hopes as well as the fulfillment of many generational legacies or dreams come true. For Up To Par, it is the delight of knowing that we have imparted and assisted in bringing life-long legacies, desires, and dreams to fruition. Our mission, therefore, is intimately linked with those who want success in the life of their children. As such, when it’s all said and done, we want it to be said of those we’ve touched, “Now, that student is a star—a living testimony of what it’s like to be UP TO PAR.”
